The McCutcheon High School robotics team, Maverick Robotics Team 4272, will hold their annual Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser on Friday, November 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, 4951 Old US-231 in Lafayette (Door A11). Proceeds will be used to fund the team’s 2027 competition season.
The team expects 12-15 home cooks to enter their chili for judging. Three meal options are available. Chili Meal Ticket includes: up to eight (8) 2.5 ounce chili entry samples, cornbread, macaroni and cheese, a bottle of water and one vote for Best Chili.
All-In Chili Meal Ticket includes: 2.5 ounce samples of all chili entries, cornbread, macaroni and cheese, a bottle of water and one vote for Best Chili.
Macaroni and Cheese Meal Ticket (non-voting) includes: macaroni and cheese, cornbread and a bottle of water.
Discounted, pre-sale tickets are available online at team4272.com until noon on Nov. 11. Pre-sale ticket prices are: $16 Chili Meal, $20 All-In Chili Meal and $8 Macaroni and Cheese Meal.
Ticket cost at the door is full price: $20 Chili Meal, $24 All-In Chili Meal and $10 Macaroni and Cheese Meal.
Additional features of the event include a bake sale, a silent auction of items made by robotics students and live entertainment by McCutcheon music students.
