Bears legend Steve McMichael lost his battle to ALS at age 67. Known as “Mongo”, McMichael played from 1983-1994 and retired the Bears second all-time leader in sacks.
McMichael would go on after football to have a successful career in pro wrestling, including becoming a member of the famed stable “The 4 Horsemen”.
McMichael was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last year.
